Down in Cockle Bay marina you will find all the glitz & glamour of the larger in-water boat displays. The kids will love one particular boat, which is not for sale, a real Pirate Ship, with Pirates onboard.

Just across the bay (near Harbourside) be wowed by expert anglers participating in the annual Berkeley Super Series Fishing Competition at the official weigh-in.

It will be a hive of activity down on Festival Boulevard (in front of Tumbalong Park), with a mix of Paddle, Power & Sail activities.

Proudly presented by WaterWorld Central, Australia’s Largest Mobile Pool will be on show. Measuring 35m long and 20m wide, the purpose built ‘Boating Safety Pool’ will be open to all Festival ticket holders. Try out the latest Stand-up Paddle Boards (SUPs) and Fishing Kayaks. Get the kids into a safe Bumper-Boat. All under the watchful eye of trained lifeguards.

The tunes will be playing all day long and into the night, with DJ’s from Bondi Beach Radio (BBR). A mix of classic hits and live acoustic performances each day.

Roving Entertainment along the Boulevard will boost the festival atmosphere.

At Hall Stand 600 you will find the Boating Safety Zone. The zone will feature a range of government regulators and not-for-profit water safety organisations keen to discuss how we can ensure a great day on the water, is a safe day.

From here you can easily walk the halls and see all the latest products and services to support the boating lifestyle. Why not head out onto the Event Deck for more exhibits, then sit back, relax, take in the view, and enjoy a refreshment at the Event Deck Café & Bar. For the sporting fan we will have action playing on the stadium sized Event Deck BIG screen.

Adjacent to the Café & Bar, the Berkley Supertank will be located. Presented by Australian Travelling Fishing Show the Berkley Supertank gives the spectator a fish’s eye view. This spectacular 15-metre-long and 3-metre-high giant fish tank holds loads of fish. You will see what the fish see from under water, without having to get wet. Casting demonstrations will take place all day. You will learn how to become a better lure user and improve your strike rate next time you are on the water.

These are just some of the activities on offer at this year’s Sydney Festival of Boating.
